8th Greek Bookcrossing Convention

This is "Anemoessa" our Ballycumber mermaid mascot. Inspired by the skyrian embroideries, travels in the Aegean Sea and asks people about Bookcrossing. Our logo was created by Greek bookcrosser mafaldaQ and invites all bookcrossers to a 3-day festive gathering in Skyros.

Our Convention's final program will be announced later but we can promise you that. It will be the most "summer and sea" bookcrossing convention you would ever imagine, with sandy beaches, mountains and forests, terrific food and friendly bookcrossers and writers from Greece and abroad. And surprises, many surprises.

Our convention will start on June 28th in the evening and will last until late at night of the June 30th 2013. Ferries and planes leave the island on Monday morning, but you will probably want to stay a bit longer.

You can reach Skyros by ferry from Kimi port, or by plane from Athens or Thessaloniki.

We are proposing some hotels with special offers just for our convention but you can really find hundreds of accommodation facilities on the island.

Despite the fact that we are organizing some things of our own, we strongly recommend a vehicle (even rented) for your stay in the island. It is a quite large island with many places to visit.
